Truck Accident

The highways in the United States are populated by trucks, tractor trailers and commercial vehicles most of which move billions of tons of freight throughout the country. California highways are no exception. Truck accidents differ from automobile accidents because of the size, weight and a greater momentum and force involved when impacted by a truck. Trucking accidents can result in more serious or catastrophic injuries. The insurance companies, third party administrators or self- insured trucking companies may be difficult to deal with as they put up a strong legal defense and greater resistance in settling a case.

Truck crashes occur due to many reasons including the truck driver's performance such as exercising poor direction control, decisions, misunderstanding or not following the rules of the road; non-performance such as failing to follow proper rest guidelines and falling asleep at the wheel; distraction while driving or other reasons. Besides the truck driver, other parties may potentially be liable for a trucking accident such as the trucking company that employs the driver, the maintenance company that worked on the truck, the truck manufacturer or the shipper of the goods being transported by the truck.

It is important to collect evidence from a trucking accident quickly before it no longer exists. So, if you are involved in a truck accident, immediately contact Lena Law, APC before you speak to anyone else. Once retained, we will put the trucking company on notice to preserve all evidence they have. Do not speak to the insurance company for the truck driver, or anyone else at the trucking company.

We will assist you with the property damage to your vehicle such as getting your vehicle inspected, repaired, and get you into a rental car – so long as there is applicable insurance coverage for property damage. We will also assist you to get the medical attention and care you need to help in your recovery process.

By contacting our office to navigate the claims and litigation process, you can concentrate on recovering from your injuries and let your attorney work for you to get the best possible compensation you deserve for your case.
