Motorcycle accidents are common and occur regularly. They can be catastrophic causing serious injuries such as broken bones, ruptured discs, spinal cord trauma, brain injuries, amputations, paralysis, permanent disabilities or death. Even when wearing helmets and protective gear, motorcyclists have little protection when involved in an accident with another vehicle because bikers are not protected by seat belts, airbags or being inside of a vehicle.
Motorcyclists, like drivers of a vehicle, must follow the rules of road. Many accidents, however, are caused by drivers who are not paying attention such as while changing lanes, making unsafe turns, lane-splitting, speeding or failing to obey traffic signals.
Do not attempt to lift or move a fallen motorcycle after an accident until emergency personnel arrive to the scene of the accident for assistance. This is to prevent further injury, disruption of evidence, dangers relating to hazardous fluids and other issues.
If an eyewitness saw the accident, obtain the witness contact information if you are able. If any videos exist at a nearby business or residence, try to obtain a copy of the video (or ask to take a video of the video footage by using your cell phone.) Do not dispose of your motorcycle, the clothes, shoes, helmet and any other protective gear you were wearing at the time of the accident, and provide it to your attorney as it may be needed for your case.

We will assist you in recovering compensation for the property damage caused to your motorcycle so long as there is applicable property damage/collision coverage.
You may receive a call from the insurance company for the responsible party following your accident. Do not give any statement to the insurance company, and do not tell the insurance company that you are not injured because you may not feel your injuries or symptoms immediately or at the time you speak with the insurance company. Sometimes, symptoms/injuries develop days or weeks after the accident. It is good practice to allow your attorney to open the insurance claim for you.
Insurance companies are not looking out for your best interest because they are a business interested in keeping money in their own pockets and paying you as little as possible, if anything at all. Your attorney, on the other hand, looks out for your best interest and works for you.
